AirPods Pro won't let Spotify music come through

Has anyone come up with a working solution to the Spotify-AirPod problem? I do have an Apple Watch but followed the suggestions and disconnected it. Spotify still didn’t work. I disconnected and reconnected Spotify and the AirPods separately. Nothing. The music comes in for about two seconds and then switches to the phone - occasionally back to the AirPods but mostly makes the annoying beep as it tries to connects. I’m finding the AirPods useless as I got them for workouts and can’t use them.

I had this issue as well a few weeks ago. It disappeared and now it’s back. Spotify keeps disconnecting from my AirPods Pro and I have to kill it and restart to reconnect. This works only sometimes. And if I pause Spotify through clicking the AirPod it will not unpause. I lose the connection altogether.

Has anyone had a response to this?it is making me bananas. Spotify worked just fine with AirPods Pro until even a few weeks ago. Have followed all these steps and no relief. Having this ability was a large part of the reason I bought the watch in the first place. Really frustrating.

I haven’t figured it out yet or gotten an answer anywhere. It is super frustrating.

I just got new airpods pro and was having the same issue while trying to play music straight from my watch without my phone while running. After trying a few different fixes I uninstalled and then reinstalled Spotify on my watch. That seemed to solve the problem. Not sure if it’s a sustainable fix but so far so good. Hopefully Spotify will come out with a better solution soon!

SOLVED.... I had the same problem, plus i was having the same problem trying to play something on youtube too, and both applications took a while to open up and freezed up for a little bit,..... in my case i HAD AN APPLE WATCH PAIR TO MY PHONE, and as soon i turn OFF the bluetooth Option on the APPLE WATCH, "not the phone" the problem went away. Looks like there is a bug between the bluetooth from the apple watch and the airpods. so i think if you have something else using your bluetooth, just disconnect it and see if you get any good results.

Agreed. It also just doesn’t make any sense to me. Last summer I could run with at least an established library just fine. While not perfect that’s fine even for long runs.

I am having same issue. I can listen to apple music, but not spotify. And I prefer Spotify as I have the library set up

for my preferences.
