Resetting a phone that was lost

I have an iPhone model A1533 that I had given to my cousin a while back. She misplaced it while travelling overseas about two years ago.

We have recovered it recently but she doesn't remember the email address, user name nor password used on it. Is there any way possible to reset this phone and be able to use it again?

If it is then activation locked, you need to start with getting back your apple ID.
