Audio / Speaker button switching/flashing

We understand you're concerned regarding the speaker button intermittently changing between "Audio" and "Speaker".

This is likely expected behavior depending on a few things. If your device is connected to a Bluetooth speaker such as a car stereo, headphones, standalone speaker, etc it will change to audio. Or if you have a nearby iCloud device using the same Apple ID as part of the Continuity feature. In either case it'd be expected behavior.

If however you're noticing this issue when not connected to Bluetooth or near another Apple product signed into the same Apple ID, take a moment to check for updates for your device:

• Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
