iCloud locked

Tried to get the previous owner to remove watch series 3 but they say they don’t know the password if I can’t but it on my account would that mean the parts of this watch are no good. Can it not be reset back to factory settings to free of previous owner

No, if the previous owner can't remove that Activation Lock, the watch is basically useless to you. You won't be able to pair it to your watch and you won't be able to update the operating system.


If they were interested, Apple could perhaps assist the original owner in recovering their Apple ID.
