How can I upgrade iPhoto to Photos?

Apple stopped supporting iPhoto almost 5 years ago, in favour of Photos.

Photos comes as part of the OS and if you do not see the icon in your Dock

you can locate it in your Applications folder.


If you press and hold down the option key while opening Photos

you will get a Choose Library window, select your iPhotos library

and click on Choose Library, your iPhotos images will be imported

into Photos.
