how to use Apple account to purchase apple watch
I have apple account balance of $250 which was redeemed from a gift card. I am trying to use it for purchasing an apple watch. it doesn't give me an option to choose it at check out

Unless you live in the US, App Store credit is not the same as Apple Store credit. You can use App Store credit only for purchases in the App Store, iTunes or other services. See also https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211187
