How do I access my photos from iPhoto with the new OS system?.

I downloaded the new OS system and now can't access my IPhoto which I just learned is no longer compatible. There is no updated App which I'm told to get. What should I do?

You already have the application that replaced iPhoto. Photos is now included with every Mac.

Here is how to start using Photos: Launch Photos with the option key held down. From the resulting dialog, choose your iPhoto Library. Photos will create a new library with your iPhoto media. Your iPhoto library will not be changed, though it will be renamed.
