I can turn on Apple TV but when I press a button on the remote, Apple TV blinks 3 times and it doesn’t respond. I tried unpairing, pairing, restarting with holding buttons butting still doesn’t work. What should I do?

Pairing or linking again is the normal first troubleshooting step. Do all the listed steps, as described, i.e don’t skip to step 2.

Apple TV blinks and it doesn’t respond.

This would happen with unpaired/unlinked remotes. It recognizes the signal, but decides that it is for a different device, and will not execute it.
