apps on ipad are appearing larger than the screen

I have an iPad with a keyboard that I've been using for school, it's the 7th generation, up to date, etc (the iPad, NOT the iPad mini). This glitch is a pain in the neck (and it's been getting worse of late). Sometimes, when I open an app (or if it had been open, and I switch to it), the app will kind of zoom in so I can't see/tap the edge of the screen. It's as if the screen is pretending to be bigger than it is, so it's like someone cropped the edge of the frame. Mostly I can just close the app and open it again, but as I am often in meetings (this has mainly been happening with Safari & Google Classroom, although it occasionally will pop up elsewhere, like in google meet or other apps- seems totally random to me) I have to leave in order to fix this. ALSO- When I see all the apps I have open (idk what this screen is called)- the app in which this glitch is occuring will appear larger than others. I previosly thought it was just a bug in the update (although I wasn't really using it before, I only started noticing this after iOS 14), the fact that we are now at iOS 14.3 and it STILL has not fixed itself suggests otherwise. As I mentioned, this has been getting worse lately. Although it isnt really a big deal, it's kinda a pain in the neck when I need to refresh the app, esp when I'm in the middle of doing something/in class. Is anyone else having this issue? It isn't a big deal but I was wondering if anyone else was getting this glitch.
