iPhone 12 Pro Max broken back camera glass

Good morning to everyone in the community..

I have owned an iPhone 12 Pro Max for two months now and 2 weeks ago I noticed that the outer glass of the rear camera lens broke ,

without dropping the iPhone or hitting it somewhere..

I immediately contacted the store here in Greece (kotsovolos) where I bought it and they told me to send it to them in order to examine it.

I also contacted apple who referred me to an authorise store here in Athens..

I received the same answer from both of them ( kotsovolos and apple) that there is no for the specific part of the phone and that the solution is to replace it with a brand new and the cost will be borne by me..

I would like to ask if this is really the case.

I bought the phone on November 20th and the camera glass broke inexplicably on December 6th.

I would like to ask if similar cases have been observed..
