iPad mini 5 still not able to download Apple fitness after iOS upgrade to 14.3

Does anyone know why I would not be able to download Apple fitness onto my iPad Mini five after iOS upgrade the 14.3? I see other messages that other users had this issue fixed for other iPads on in mid December. As of January 12, I am still seeing “ this app requires specific features not available on this device” message. I have also rebooted my device twice.

Talked with Apple support. An Apple Watch has to be assigned to the same Apple ID account as the IPad. Once I switched Apple ID to one with an Apple Watch, it allowed a download. Wish Apple fitness was more user friendly with family use iPads.

Out of curiosity;

  1. Open the Fitness app's page in the iOS App Store on your iPad
  2. Scroll down to Information
  3. Look right to Compatibility

Does it state that the app can be used on your Mac?
