When I try to type the before mentioned address in safari on iOS, it will not accept the address. Normally you will get something like „server unavailable“.
Is it just my phone or did Apple something with Safari?

Amazon (their hosting provider) pulled the plug on them.

Parler used Amazon Web Services (AWS) who sent them a notice that they would suspend the site if they did not make changes to their moderation policy and gave them until the end of Sunday, January 10th, PST. Parler did not respond so they were suspended. They are supposedly looking for another service provider. There is no current way to access them.
This is my brief explanation.
If google was down, your computer would return "server unavailable" because google did not accept your connection. Parler however, does not have a server (at some point in time). Your computer does not know where to look as there are no servers listed over the WWW for parler.com. A quick ICANN lookup will show their nameservers and no DNS IP > https://lookup.icann.org/lookup
No you would not, AWS ran their servers and turned them off so there is nothing to be unavailable. Parler execs have filed suit.
Apple didn't, but a number of DNS providers did. DNS is the service that converts a URL to an IP address. Think of it as the Internet's version of the Yellow Pages. Also, it is my understanding that their hosting service may have removed them.

But, regardless of what error message, the reason given, that currently, Parler has no working address, is correct.
How about Safari on a computer?
Thx for the explanation. But wouldn‘t you usually get a message like „server unavailable“? That‘s what I get on other browsers (including safari on macOS). However on iOS I do not get any message, it just does not accept the entry.
Maybe the site is down?

Thx! Interesting! That‘s what I get on Safari on macOS and all the other browsers. It‘s just on my iPhone and iPad, that the address does not get accepted in the entry field.
Apple has decided to pull the app from it's App Store.
Also Amazon has removed Parler from their Amazon Web Services (Parler used Amazon Servers to host their site).
That means that Parler is currently offline and it cannot be accessed anymore atm no matter what device and browser you use.
When typing "parler.com" in the adress field of safari, it does not accept the url. Did Apple change something in Safari overnight?
