Vertical Blue Line on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)

Hello everyone, i just got a vertical blue line this morning on my iMac, I already restart the imac and press CMD+OPT+R+P but the line still there, I also take a screen shot but the line is not visible. Thank you in advance..

From your description, it sounds like the display panel needs to be replaced.

It sounds like there's a hardware issue with your Mac's display, or a problem with your graphics driver. Either way, you should look into getting it serviced at a repair facility.


Another option is to buy a new/used panel and install it yourself. The panel is one unified unit and two cables. I've removed the display on an iMac in less than 5 minutes. You would have to purchase new adhesive strips to attach the new panel. If you're comfortable around doing PC work, it's not that intimidating. There are tons of YouTube videos and iFixit.com to show you how to do it.
