If those boxes are Text Boxes, click once on a box to select it:
Press delete:
Repeat with other boxes.

Are you referring to the three boxes shown in this screen shot?
These are Header boxes, more precisely know as 'running headers' Text placed in any of these boxes is repeated on every page of the document or of a section of the document. There is also a corresponding set of Footer boxes at the bottom of the page.
You can remove them by unchecking the Headers and Footers checkboxes in the Document Inspector, shown to the right of the page in eh screen shot, Open the Document Inspector by clicking the Document button, next to the Format brush in the upper right corner of the screen.
