iPad Pro - can’t download google drive video/ can’t playback download video
Hello,
im trying to download videos from my Google drive to edit on my iPad.
I followed the instructions from the “Google drive help” site on how to download videos.
the files should either end up in the camera roll or in my “download” folder.
see screen recording of my download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lsCrXaziWQfQr3UzkW95DZFSH5Z0lUsU/view?usp=drivesdk
- the save to camera roll option didn’t work. Nothing saved in the camera roll.
- The save to “download” file worked, but the downloaded video wouldn’t playback. (It’s an mp4/MPEG-4 File, and plays fine on my phone, computer, and even in the Google drive app on the iPad. Just when it’s downloaded, it won’t play and the editing software couldn’t read it either)
- as you could see in the end of the video, the “file” app on the iPad (where the “download” folder is located) can also access to my Google drive- and some of the videos would play/load, and some wouldn’t. They were all videos taken from the same phone, no formats changed.
i also tried downloading the video directly from the Google photo’s app, and it went perfectly. Would save automatically to the iPad’s camera roll. But this wouldn’t be a permanent solution, not all the videos would be on my Google photo app.
I also made sure the iPad software is up to date, and have deleted/ reinstalled the drive app.
please let me know if there is any solutions to:
- how to save Google drive videos to camera roll
- why isn’t the download videos playable
thank you!
