Will everything save

I just recently dropped my phone and it cracked. I can't do anything about it. I tried to back it up through my phone but it's saying I need wifi, but when I put wifi it says the same thing. I went to iCloud to check if I still had my notes and files and some are still there. But I haven't backed up my phone yet. So I'm confused about how it's there. My most recent backup was in 2019, but it was with an iPhone 6. I have the 8. So my question is if you go to iCloud on your pc and you see that everything is there, does it mean that it backed up?

What you see when logging into iCloud is what is stored in iCloud, yes. So if you see a contact or photo in iCloud when you log into the iCloud server from a computer that will transfer back to a new phone when you log into the server from the phone.
