I have an iPad that has a case on it because it was given to me by my school and I can't take it off. Is there anyway to charge a Apple Pencil 2 a different way?

The second generation Apple Pencil can only be charged (and paired) by docking the Pencil with a compatible iPad. It cannot be charged by alternate means.

You can only use the second generation Apple Pencil with these iPad models: 

• iPad Air (4th generation)
• iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) and later
• iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation) and later
