Can ipad mini (Generation 2) use Apple Pencil?

I see that the Compatible ipad mini for apple pencil is Ipad Mini (Gen 5), what about Ipad mini with older generation??

No. Pencil and iPad combinations not listed in the Related Article above won't work.
