Touch ID not working after Big Sur Update

Hi folks,

I have a 2019 MacBook pro with all the bells and whistles. I just updated the operating system software from Mojave to Big Sur. Everything looks great but my touch ID is not working at all. It is checked off (or ON) in my system preferences and I've restarted my laptop twice. Are there any other suggestions to getting it to work?
