Screen Rotation Not Working on Big Sur

I have 2 external monitors that I have connected to my new MacBook Pro utilizing the Display Ports via a Targus docking station and DisplayLink manager. I am able to see the Rotation option when in system preference > Display for each screen, BUT, after selecting to rotate 90 degrees it seems to freeze the screen, then reverts to original orientation after about 10 seconds. How do I ensure the screen can be rotated into portrait mode? I've tried restarting and reinstalling the Display Link software. I've also tried going through the whole process with the command + option keys held down to no avail.

macOS - Big Sur Version 11.0

Chip - Apple M1

Display Link Manager 1.2.0 (Build 55.125)

Hey roscoes_wetsuit,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having some issues with your MacBook Pro screen freezing when you try rotating your screen.

Does this happen with both displays or when you try to rotate a particular display? Disconnect one of your displays and see if this happens when you try to rotate the connected display. Then, connect it, disconnect the other display and test again. Does this still happen and if so, does it happen with a particular display? What happens if you try rotating your MacBook Pro screen without any external monitors connected?

Next, try starting in safe mode and test to see if the same thing happens there. Check out How to use safe mode on your Mac.

Take care.
