change name on my invoice

a friend of mine bought an iphone for me from the US i got an insurance for it but the invoice is on his name i want to change to my name and also change the billing address ; i contacted apple and they said it’s not possible ; before he bought the iphone in US he couldn’t bill it on my name because the online store doesn’t allow that ; they told him once the product is picked up then the name on the bill can be changed . now they r saying before the product was picked up you should have got it changed ; this is crazy
