Sadly it’s not that simple but thanks. NEWZIT is not an app, it’s an irritating programme that launches every time one tries to view a news report in the UK Daily Mail app - the UK DAILY MAIL is a popular newspaper

Yes Lawrence, there is indeed such an app but I have never installed it.
The insidious programme of which I speak launches itself when you download the ‘Daily Mail’ app from the store and then set about reading the various news items and reports. Again, yes, it’s NEWZIT, but instead of taking you directly to what you desire to read, it presents you with a lengthy random list of topics through which one must scroll until perchance one may land on the news report you’re after.
An iPhone cannot run an app that is not installed on the phone. Have you checked the alphabetical list? It might also be a website that the Daily Mail app is displaying within the app itself as an iFrame.
Then you contact developers of Daily News app for issuses with NEWZIT popping up.
Hold your finger on it until a menu appears, then tap Remove App followed by Delete App.
There is an app called NEWZIT in the app store. Are you sure you don’t have it? Go to the App Library, scroll to the alphabetical list and check.
Apparently, I'm mistaken. What previous post wrote.
As indeed I have done but their response was less than helpful....
Hmmm...
im learning all the time, thanks. Please tell me about an ‘iframe’
I can confirm that NEWZIT is not in the list of my installed apps
Then why mark my previous post as solved, if Daily News developers not helpful?
An app can open a web page within the app; the function that uses this is called an iframe. If you have an ad blocker you can try adding newzit to the blocked list.
Thanks Lawrence, I’ll go grab an ad-blocker!!
I wasn’t aware that I had Lawrence, my apologies, I’m having a bad day
No worries. But wrong username.
