Apple Watch Causing DeQuarvains tendinosis

I developed severe wrist pain after wearing my watch daily for a few months. Since I am super healthy and fit the only new factor that could have caused it was the watch. I stopped wearing the watch regularly, only on occasion for runs so I could listen to music, and the pain went away. I recently traveled, this is when I typically wear it daily, and forgetting about the last time started wearing it again. Again I got this horrid pain, which turns out to be De Quarvains. It’s pretty painful but I have stopped wearing the watch again and it is already getting better. I wear the watch loose and tried wearing it higher up even but nothing helps except not wearing it. Does anyone else have this issue? What to do? Just give up on the watch. So much that I like about it. I’m hopeful I can at least wear it for walks and runs to listen to music and audio books. But it would suck to not be able to ever wear it again because of this. I’m thinking that is the only solution though.

It's strange that just wearing an Watch would cause something normally viewed as a repetitive strain injury!

If you were diagnosed for this by a physician then follow the doctor's recommendations, especially involving the watch.

Right, I also thought it was strange. I believe it has to do with the pressure from the watch over time on the tendon sheath. Which, when looked at from a different perspective, is essentially a repetitive use injury. I have stopped wearing the watch and am following the recommendations, and also I am consulting the apple community to see if anyone else has had an issue like this and if yes, how they may have solved it so they could continue wearing the watch without this type of pressure. I have tried two different bands and wearing it more loosely. For now I have to rest it and then I can make additional attempts at solving the challenge. Thank you for your advice.
