HDD or SSD

I am trying to find out if My MacPro version 12, 2012 has SSD or is HDD.

I see :

  1. Under Hardware/ATA: “This computer has no ATA Device “

  1. Under Hardware/ Disk Burning: HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS41N/Interconnect : ATAPI

  1. UNDER Hardware/ SATA/SATA Express/Serial-ATA Device Tree :

* Intel 7 Series Chipset: APPLE HDD HTS545050A7E362

* Intel 7 Series Chipset : HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS41N

Does any of the above confirm whether or not I have SSD?

The drive appears as HDD (SATA) not SSD - as is listed here:

* Intel 7 Series Chipset: APPLE HDD HTS545050A7E362

This is bus location ^ for 5400-RPM rotational HDD; as attached to logic board.

Second section shows the hard disk drive itself.

APPLE HDD - HTS545050A7E362 - Hard Drive Benchmark

Amazon.com: Hitachi HTS545050A7E362 500GB Travelstar : 5400-RPM

https://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-HTS545050A7E362-Travelstar-Z5K500-5400RPM/d

The HDD maker + part number seems to match for

'Hitachi' which shows as 5400-RPM in this model.

[Used to be IBM TravelStar for portable PC; now Hitachi HTS ]

Media said IBM got away from its PC & consumer level parts.

You could use lookup to see what stock drives were there.

Everymac has one, as do others. Some have serial # lookups.

• Upgrades and Replacements - guaranteed (mac) by OWC

Good luck & happy computing!
