Airport time capsule internet cutting out every few minutes

If I'm trying to download something the speed slows to zero mb/s (but does disconnect from the wifi) and I have to pause and restart the download for it to continue every few minutes, this also occurs when watching films as it either jumps back about 15s or quits to the main menu. I have tried turning it off and on and tried it on multiple devices, the drivers seem to be up to date too.

Your ISP will always tell you that "everything looks good" from their end.

Connect your computer directly to your modem using an Ethernet connection and turn off the WiFi on the computer. Leave it connected for an hour or more if possible.

Watch the connection and run a speed check maybe every 10-15 minutes or so. if the speed varies or the connection drops, you will need to get a tech from the ISP out to check things at your home.

If the connection checks out OK during your "test", reset the Time Capsule back to factory default settings and then set it up again. If the problems still continue, the Time Capsule is defective.

What is the speed plan that you have from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

What is the speed of the Internet connection if you temporarily disconnect the Time Capsule from your modem and connect your computer directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable connection?

What is the speed of the Internet connection if you reconnect the Time Capsule to your modem and then connect your computer directly to one of the 3 LAN Ethernet ports on the Time Capsule?

We are asking you to first check speeds using an Ethernet connection because Ethernet must be working correctly up to speed......before......wireless will work correctly.

4-6 MB is the same as 32-48 Mb. Is this what you mean?

What is the speed of your Internet connection plan with your provider? Most providers advertise their plan as Mb.....not MB.

How are you checking speeds? Speedtest.net is recommended. They always use Mb....not MB. Example:

My speed plan with my ISP is 200 Mbps. When I run a check using Speedtest, the result looks like this:

It would be really helpful if you could post a screenshot like the example above and not whether this is an Ethernet or WiFi connection.

How do you know that the problem is with the Time Capsule and not with your modem or the service from your ISP?
