If you have an account for one or more websites that you do not use, requiring you to sign-in with a password, you might be well advised to properly close your account with the website. To do so, you will normally sign-in to the website, then navigate to your account settings - where you may find a link to a cancellation option. If you can’t find a directly link, you may find instructions about how you can close your account.
When you are satisfied that the account has been closed, deleting the corresponding username and password from your locally saved passwords may be good housekeeping. However, unless the account to which the website credentials is closed, simply deleting the locally stored password will do nothing to secure the website account.
