My iPad Pro is both charging both ways, it’s only charging at a certain way

USB-C cables and connections are double-sided.

If substitution of the cable does not resolve the problem, assuming that you have similarly tried using a different Power Adapter, you would be best advised to take your iPad, cable(s) and Power Adapter(s) along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians can inspect and test your equipment.

As described, perhaps you cable is damaged. A simple substitution of the USB-C cable, with another known good cable, will confirm this potential diagnosis.
