problem with Final Cut Pro X animated typewriter effect and Retime Hold function

I have three paragraphs of text that I'm trying to animate with the Final Cut Pro X typewriter effect (which can be found in FCPX's "Titles" window). I'm trying to use the "Retime Hold" function but it makes the first letter of the third paragraph appear as soon as the last character of the second paragraph is displayed on screen. I haven't been able to find a way to resolve this.

Does anyone know a good animated typewriter plugin for Final Cut Pro X that allows you to freeze the typewriter animation after every line? I don't want the text to type out non-stop without pauses. I want to be able to pause the animated typewriter effect for a second or more after every line. I also prefer to use Final Cut Pro X than Motion, because I need to be able to synchronize my animated text with music and typing sounds.

Thank you in advance for any tips or suggestions.

Hi Luis, thank you for your help. I should have mentioned in my initial post that this actually what I did.
I created a compound clip and then applied the Retime Hold. But I'm still getting this issue of the first character of the next paragraph appearing at the same time as the last character of the preceding paragraph.

Do you know of any plugins that could do what I'm looking for within Final Cut Pro X?

Then I have to say that you did it wrong...

See the example gif I posted above.

Retiming works just fine.

Maybe you can create test minimal project, with just a title made into a compound an retimed as you did.

Export this to xml and post the xml file so we can test. You can send it to yourself using wetransfer and post the link here.
