Every time I try to download or save a file the finder format is really weird and I have to 'strectch' it open every single time. This is really annoying and after searching the web I couldn't find any solution on this problem. For reference; I'm using os big sur.
I've attached two images. The first one is how it opens, and the second one is how it 'should' be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, the ridiculously small open/save dialog that doesn't retain size settings is a known issue that Apple doesn't seem to understand is more important than other silly things they have fixed in the updates.

In that regard, send Apple feedback.
You will have to wait for Apple to feel the pressure to release this fix in a future Big Sur update. Only Apple knows the if and when about that fix.
