This is done by pushing buttons on the case, not interacting with the OS. If it won't go into recovery mode, contact Apple as described in the article.

When I get to that screen showing the computer, if says after you remove passcode.. I can't do anything.. how does it remove the passcode? I can't do anything..
I cant do anything with the phone. from the time I turn on it goes to iPhone is disabled.
I can only turn off. No other functions.
