When will the Mid 2015 15" MacBook Pro become obsolete and no longer serviceable by Apple?

Hello, I saw on this post that in April of 2021 the early 2015 MacBooks will no longer be serviceable.

Can anyone tell me when this will occur for my Mid 2015 15" MBP?

My model is listed as "MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)" on About This Mac. Happy to provide any other information if required.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

From that article:

Vintage products are those that have not been sold for more than 5 and less than 7 years ago.

Your model was discontinued in July 2018, so five years from last sold is June 2023.

The free MacTracker database in the Mac App Store has dates discontinued for most Apple products:

Even after that, an independent service provider can still work on one. Although parts are not available from Apple after that, most independents have decent access to parts through other channels.

Hi Paptillo,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you have some questions about getting your MacBook Pro serviced in the future. We'd like to help.

From what you've described, it seems like this resource could best answer your questions:

Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty

If you have additional questions after that, Contact Apple Support may be able to answer them for you.
