Had no issues with the iPhone & CarPlay in my previous Vauxhall Sportive van, but in this Crafter it's unbearable!
I've even tried other apps, such Amazon Music, but its the same, so where is the issue? and what, if any, is the fix?
Is there any music app that works OK, as being in my van all day, I really miss my library of music.

Have you ever been able to use CarPlay successfully in this new car since you got it? Do you connect through Bluetooth or USB cable? If you use a cable, have you tried using another one to rule out that being the cause of the distortion/skipping? Do other iPhones act the same when connected to your car?

You mentioned that this happens with YouTube and Amazon Music. Have you tried is with Apple Music? Are you seeing the same behavior there? If you do is this streaming music or music downloaded to your device? Do any, or all, of these apps act the same way if playing music through the iPhone's speakers or connected to another speaker?

Since this is happening with multiple apps, but not when you play the same apps though your speaker, we'd like to make sure that you checked for firmware updates through your car manufacturer. If you have done that, and are still unable to resolve this, Contact Apple Support would be your best next step.

I've only had the new van for 3 weeks, as such it's always distorted after a certain amount of time, using any of the music apps! I connect through a USB and I have changed the cables, using a genuine cable I purchased direct from Apple.

Following your reply, I tried it on Apple Music, and its exactly the same, it becomes distorted after only a few minutes into the first track played and then continues to be distorted for everything there-on!
This is both direct streaming from these apps from searching for artists, and also from my Library the I've built up and saved and then look to play back.
This is not through the iPhones speakers, it's only happening through my Carplay when I've connected to it through my iPhone via an apple purchased USB cable.
