Western Digital Easystore won’t mount after Big Sur Update

Help!! After updating my MacBook Air (2013) to Big Sur 11.1, my Western Digital Easystore 2Tb hard drive will not mount. I have updated WD Discovery to its newest version and Paragon NTFS to its newest version. The hard drive shows up in NTFS, WD Discovery and Disk Utility but will not mount.


Please help!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue with your external drive not mounting properly since upgrading to Big Sur. To get started, follow the steps here to Mount a volume that’s been ejected using Disk Utility on Mac and try to remount the drive.

Hi,


I am having this EXACT same issue since updating to Big Sur, except it is with my Seagate External. It works on my brothers' Apple computer that hasn't been updated yet just fine. I have tried every answer you guys have offered on this site and then some with no luck. This is clearly an issue within the update. Is there anything else I can do? I am getting real close to never use Apple again, it is nothing but issues every time I update.
