What happens to communication blocked by a Communication Limit?

Hi all,

If you set up Downtime & Communication Limits on an iPhone, and someone who is not an approved contact (let's say) sends you an iMessage, what happens to that iMessage? Does it just disappear, or does is it there when Downtime ends? Do you see a badge icon, for instance?

Like, I'm sure, many of us, I have that one friend who lies in bed doomscrolling through multiple feeds and randomly texting me things that she thinks are funny/interesting/upsetting/etc. I'd like to be able to avoid hearing from her after a certain hour, but I want to be able to respond to her in my own time (i.e. the next morning.)
