Logging onto hulu.com when I've subscribed via Apple TV

I've seen previous posts that say to use your Apple login to access hulu.com, but that doesn't work for me. If, from hulu.com I click "forgot password" and enter the email address for my Apple account, I don't receive the reset email from Hulu (and yes, I've checked the spam and trash folders). Totally stuck. Any ideas?
