I have a Tinder Gold subscription which I’m trying to cancel. It doesn’t seem the Tinder app has a cancellation

Trying to cancel a,Tinder Gold subscription but Tinder does not appear to have a cancellation/delete function to enable this. I have cancelled the subscription in the subscriber section in settings but all the information remains. If I have cancelled the payments need I worry about cancelling the app?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, William!

We understand you've cancelled a subscription, but the subscription is still active. We'd be happy to provide information to help you understand this.

If you've already cancelled it from the subscriptions section, likely the subscription time hasn't lapsed. If you go back to the subscriptions section by going to Settings > ["Your Name"] > Subscriptions and tap on the subscription, you should see the last day it will be active.

We hope this clears things up.

Have a great day!

If it's not in the subscription list, then it it is not tied to the currently signed in Apple ID. There is no way around that.

If you know you activated it on the iPhone 11 were you using the App, or were you logged in to the tinder Website?

How does the charge appear in your monthly statement? If it specifically states Tinder Gold, then it is not tied to your Apple ID. Charges made through your Apple ID only show up as Apple.com/bill, and don't directly specify what they are for on the statement.

If it shows up as Tinder, then it was initiated directly on the tinder website, and not through your Apple ID. You would need to cancel it directly there too.

If its not in your subscriptions list, it means it either was not activated with the Apple ID that is currently signed in to your device, or it wasn't actually activated on an Apple device.

If you were using a different Apple ID when you activated the subscription you will need to log in to that one to cancel it.

If you activated it directly on the tinder website, then you will need to cancel it from there by logging into your Tinder account there.

If you activated it a non Apple device, then you will have to cancel it through whichever mechanism is set for cancellation on that type of device.

Cancellation will depend on where and how it was activated.
