CD will not auto-download after setting it up in iTunes

I have a new Dell PC with Windows 10. The CD works well if I set the Windows player as the default. However the CD will not open iTunes and ask to import when a CD is inserted as my past PC's have done. I have already gone to Edit / Preferences / General / When you insert a CD. Also once the cd is first read by the player if I go into iTunes manually The list is ready to be imported. Help please. Thank you in advance.

Windows, Windows 10

Hi there CaptZoltar,

We understand you're experiencing an issue with iTunes not launching to import a CD, and we'd like to share some resources that can help.

Get started here: Import songs from CDs into iTunes on PC

Specifically, the "If you have trouble importing songs from an audio CD" section may help.

If this issue persists, give these steps a try: Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

Cheers!
