My iPhone 8 serial number is being shown as invalid on apple India website

When I enter my iPhone 8 serial number on Apple India online store for availing an exchange offer for a new iPhone 12, the website indicates that it is an invalid serial number.


My iPhone 8 is perfectly genuine product which I bought brand new on Flipkart around 3 years ago. On pressing “*#06#” on the number pad it gives IMEI and MEID numbers which are being shown as valid numbers when checked on a private website.


Can anyone throw some light in this.

Make sure you use a number zero and not the letter O when entering the information.
