Iphone 12 Magsafe Silicone Case Peeling

Did anyone successfully get through Apple support to have their peeling cases replaced through warranty? I used chat support and even spoke to a specialist but it seems almost impossible to get this issue resolved without just purchasing a brand new case. I’ve only been using this case since October 26th, 2020 and the silicone layer is already peeling. The only option was to get the case inspected in person at an Apple store but none of the stores nearby are currently open due to COVID-19. The specialist I spoke to on the phone for about an hour was very helpful but we found out that the option to mail the case for inspection wasn’t available either. Anyway, really disappointed at how difficult it’s become to get warranty support. $50 case should also not be peeling just two months into using it without any external damages.
