Should I disable GPU hardware acceleration for Microsoft teams?

I have a 2020 MacBook Air with an Intel Core i3 and 8gb of RAM. I use Microsoft Teams almost everyday for school, and at times I need to have Safari or/and other applications to work simultaneously, which sometimes causes the computer to slow down. I've heard different people telling me different opinions of whether I should or should not disable it and I can't seem to find a concrete answer on the internet. Please help. Thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.1

There should be no need to disable Team's GPU hardware acceleration unless you are having graphical glitches with the app.

Run Disk Utility First Aid on the hidden Container. To see the hidden Container within Disk Utility you need to click on "View" and select "Show All Devices". Even if First Aid reports everything as "Ok" click on "Show Details" and look to see if there are any unfixed errors or warnings listed which will require you to completely erase the whole physical SSD and restore from a backup or clone.

To look for software issues run EtreCheck and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.
