Printing MS Office from MacBook Pro

I'm not sure if this is an M1 thing or a Big Sur thing. I just discovered that Office 365 - using Word, no longer prints background images. I also could print a simple label address.

Even saving as a PDF omits the background images and addresses.

Big Sur 11.1 is up to date.

Word 16.45 is up to date.

Microsoft says that Office 365 is running natively.

Anyone else having this issue?

Toggle the printing preference off and on a couple of times and then reboot and check.

If that doesn't do it boot into Safe Mode by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists.  Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
