SIM Card Transfers in Different Countries

Hi. I currently live in Asia, and I would like to buy the iPhone 11 here in Asia. I would be purchasing a SIM card for where I live, but in about half a year, I plan on moving to the US. Is it likely that there will be an issue with getting a US SIM card and putting it in a phone which was not bought in the US?
