Safari frozen when I open MacBook or return from sleep
My internet connection works but when I open MacBook (OS 11.1 Big Sur) Safari does not open. I need to turn off then on the WiFi connection. Why?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

Try Booting into Save Mode:
[Hold Down: shift key upon boot]. In Safe Mode, corrupted system files (i.e. caches) are fixed.

Hi ulrikefromdpo,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that Safari isn't loading as expected. We certainly want to make sure Safari is working for you, and we're happy to help.
We recommend checking out the resource below and working through the steps there to resolve Safari issues.
Let us know how it goes with those steps.
Thanks.
This did not solve my problem. I had tried these suggestions before writing to the community.
This may have worked; the next days will tell.
