I have a brand new XDR connected to a Macbook Pro 16" with the AMD Radeon Pro 550M graphics card and the screen goes black every hour or two. Doesn't do so with other screens like the HP Z32 nor the Apple Thunderbolt Display. I have updated to the lastest firmware on the display and only using the cable included in the XDR box.
I have a similar issue with my Mac Pro 2019 and XDR monitor. I actually have the XDR, a BenQ as well as a Cintiq Pro tablet connected and every so often the screens flicker black a few times as if the driver crashed and the OS is trying to resolve it. It also happens when I turn on one of the monitors(after the machine is already booted) and is particularly bad when waking the machine up from sleep.
I've tried swapping ports on the back of the tower but it didn't help. I always hope it gets fixed with every OS update but as of yet-nothing. 😖
