Unknown .apps

Hi;

I've just noticed that there are some two dozen apps that appeared in my Application folder over the last few months. They share the same icon and are 12.9MB each. To name a few: ActivePower.app, ActiveSource.app, and AdvancedBrowser.app. What are they, how did they get there, and can I get rid of them. I'm running MacOS 10.13.6.

Sounds like AdWare at the very least...


The free Malwarebytes may take care of it...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
