I want to change the color of the app icons on the Preview page of my Safari browser on my iMac. I am running Big Sur OS version 11.1 and Safari browser version 14.0.2. I have been unable to find a easy fix for this. Can someone help me, please?

That is the page that opens when you click onto the Safari icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. An app icon is a "badge" or little picture that you click on to access a "app" or application.
The page that opens in Safari depends on what page you have it set to. I'm familiar with what an icon is. In any case, you can't change the color of icons on any page in Safari or any browser for that matter.
Pardon me, I have my browser set to open to the Start Page. On this page I have my favorite app icons. Some of them are just squares with rounded corners and a letter in the middle representing the first word of the website, such as an "C" for Comics Kingdom. Some of these are colored and others are just gray. At one time all were colored. It's not a big deal, but it is curious that things change all by themselves, it seems. Just wondering.

The browser sets the icons and colors based on the website.
Sorry, what are you calling the "Preview" page of Safari and what "app icons" are you referring to?
