What would make the flash such as my flashlight keep flashing like a strobe light?
What would make the flash on the back of my phone that is used for a flashlight to go off randomly in a strobe like fashion?

You could have the flash set up to alert to an incoming message.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Click on Accessibility.
- Click on Audio/Visual
- Then scroll down and click on LED Flash for Alerts.
- If it is On for LED Flash for Alerts, turn it OFF.
