computer is not able to start completely.

My MacBook Pro's keyboard and mouse pad stopped working. Then I got this message when I tried to start it.

support.apple.com/mac/startup

I have tried everything on the support page with no luck. Think it is a combination of the keyboard not working which means the combinations do not work to be to recovery.

Any help would be apprecated.

If your keyboard/mouse does not work you can try an external cabled connected keyboard/mouse as a work a round or get yours repaired.

Will the computer recognize a wireless keyboard or does it have to be a USB keyboard? Thank you for responding.

Try it and see—

Only once did I need a wireless keyboard and it had to register with the mac in order to pair via bluetooth, which required entering the unique pairing code using the existing key board. I suspect you have a better chance a cabled connection.

I can say Best Buy has a liberal return policy on computer electronics & accessories.

A possibility would be buy one of each, use the cabled KB to see if you can initate the pairing of the wireless. Return the cabled KB.
