The lightning to digital av adapter works on my ipad pro 2 and my ipad mini 2 but my iphone se 2 says downloading accessory firmware your device will not function until download is finished. But nothing ever downloads. How can i fix this?

Where is accessory firmware stored inside the IOS file system? Ive looked through a lot of internals and cant seem to find it. I have a lightning to digital AV adapter that works on two of my devices but not on the third the first two devices are an iPad mini 2 and an iPad Pro 2 and the third device is an iPhone SE 2. On the SE 2 It just says “downloading accessory firmware your device will not function until the download completes’ but not is ever downloaded.. is there a solution?
