iPhone 12 wireless charger not working

Received a new iPhone 12 Pro Max yesterday, the cable in the box doesn't plug into any plug I have as it's no longer USB. My wireless charger does not work with the phone either so what are my options for charging ? I've seen lots of other posts with the wireless chargers being an issue so I am not confident in buying yet another one only to find out it doesn't work either. What is the solution to charging this phone Apple ? I had to select 11 Pro Max from the device list as it has not been updated to accommodate the iPhone 12 !

Hey there pabuistuk,

We understand you've been unable to charge your iPhone wirelessly or with a cable. We'll be happy to help.

First, if you have any cables and power adapters from previous iPhones you may be able to charge with those.

Regarding the wireless charging issue, we'd recommend reviewing the steps here: How to wirelessly charge your iPhone

Specifically, the section "Learn more" has some troubleshooting steps that might help.

However, if the issue persists, you can reach out to Apple Support directly for further assistance: Get Support

Cheers!

Hi,

I just got iPhone 12Pro 512GB yesterday and I am having the same issue.

I've updated the phone to iOs 14.3 and the community says this issue should have been fixed through the update, yet it hasn't.

I also followed the link you provided yet it doesn't work well. It would charge for about 15 to 30 seconds and it just stops.

I'm overseas right now and hoping to fix this issue as fast as I can.

Is there any way to fix this issue? Thanks,
